Director | Cinematographer | Photographer | Scientist
Morgan Cardiff is an Australian documentary director who specialises in expedition, environmental conservation and green economy storytelling.
His work bridges his passion for filmmaking and his technical work as an environmental consultant. His films have been shown at multiple film festivals and his research and commercial content has been used to promote conservation and sustainable business actions for his clients and the subjects of his films. In 2021, Morgan will be releasing his first feature length documentary ‘Tired but Strong‘, which charts the personal stories of six runners who embark on the seemingly impossible journey, in part, across South Africa. The film was shot over a seven year period, across 12 countries.
Morgan is experienced working in remote and often uncomfortable locations, having spent extended periods of time shooting in remote parts of east and west Africa, Namibia, South Africa, spending 3 months living in a tent on the American Prairie Reserve in Montana, and prior to covid 19 – frequently travelling to Nepal in his capacity as an Environmental and Social Advisor on an infrastructure project in the Mountains of eastern Nepal.
This project will be Morgan’s first expedition project in his home country of Australia.
